Planes are overpopated because of the following reasons:

1) They have a good topography and climatic conditions.

2) Construction of roads and buildings is easy.

3) Transportation is also very easy.

4) They are also less prone to natural disasters.

5) Agriculture and vegetation is also appropriate there.

Plains have almost every facility for survival as compared to other landforms. They have suitable climate and land and water availability. Here the land is fertile and favorable for agriculture. Employment opportunities are available. People seek these facilities and prefer to live in plains.

Hence the plains are overpopulated.
