Why plant cells have cell wall but why not animal cell.

plants have a cell wall bcoz it gives them a boxy shape and help them to get enough sunlight while in animals cell wa

l is not present as they does not need the boxy shape and they are irregular

Answer:

Plants are non-motile organisms i.e. they cannot move from one place to other like humans. So the only option left for plants to protect themselves is rigidity of cells. So they have a cell wall made up of cellulose to not only provide shape and size but also protect them from external factors.

Animals on the other hand are flexible and motile and can escape from danger using their limbs and hence do not require cell wall for further protection.
