Plantation Agriculture

  1. Plantation agriculture is a type of commercial agriculture in which a single crop is produced throughout the year.
  2. Crops may be further processed on the farm where they are cultivated, or in adjacent factories or small-scale industries.
  3. Crops grown are tea, coffee, sugarcane, cashew etc. These crops give a good profit to the farmers. And their demand remains almost the same throughout the year.
  4. Plantation agriculture is classified as commercial agriculture. Commercial farming primarily focuses on commercial crops that yield a high-profit margin and can be farmed throughout the year.

That's why plantation agriculture is considered the best type of commercial farming.
