When a plant is illumined with a. light source it leads to accumulation of plant hormone auxin on the other side i.e shady region .

hence it leads to increase in the division of cells in the shady portion and hence the plant bends toward the source

Answer:

Explanation:

hey....

auxin is the reason for the bending

auxin has a tendency to move to the shady region ,as we know auxin is a growth promoter

So when light is coming from a single direction then on the opposite side auxin promotes growth
