In ecological language, plants are producers of food whereas animals are either primary or secondary consumers of food. Digestive system is required for consumers and not for producers.
Plants prepare their own food in green leaves by the process of photosynthesis by using Carbon dioxide, water and sunlight. Plants need leaves, and chlorophyll for food preparation not digestive system.
Animals are directly or indirectly dependent on plants for their supply of food. Therefore animals need digestive system to breakdown food particles obtained from from plants.

♦Plants don't digest food because they produce carbohydrates by photosynthesis by binding solar energy and so they don't require a digestive system like animals or humans. Whereas we humans don't photosynthesis their food they have digestive systems to digest the food they eat!
Hope it helps!☺
