plants have microtubules instead of centrioles so they doesnt have any need for centrioles.plants form circular loop of micro tubules around the future plane of division prior to prophase called preprophase band

plants don't have centrioles because they have microtubules they are still able to form a mitotic spindle from the centrosome region of the cell. it's microtubules is self sufficient for self organising.
