yes plants do not need and digestive system and the reason behind this is that the function of digestive system is to make our food in more simpler form so that our cell can use it and plants are autotrophic from nutrition so they make the food in itself in simplest form so they do not need any digestive system and if humans also take the food in its simplest form they would also do not want any digestive system.
