Plants wilt in the afternoon when due to high temperature the rate of evaporation and transpiration is high. The root uptake of water cannot match the amount of water that is being lost. This causes water content in plant parts to get low and hence they wilt. In the morning or evening when the temperature fall down the rate of evaporation and transpiration is less and the cell overcomes water deficiency by uptake by roots hence regaining freshness.

Hey...
In afternoon there is high temperature than morning.
Higher the temperature, high rate of transportation.
This may cause excess loss of water from plant due to excess of transpiration.
So , avoid the loss of water plants wilt in afternoon..
And when plants came in their favourable condition it no more wilts and stay open.
And in the night and in the morning the temperature is not much high means cool temperature ,so no more transpiration occurs .
That's why plants don't wilt in morning and regain their freshness......
Hope this will help u..
