hiii,

Instead, they receive energy through water and sunlight. This is becauseplants and animals obtain energy using different organelles. Animal cells use mitochondria to convert energy into food, and plant cells usechloroplasts to convert light into energy through photosynthesis.

hope helps

moonarmy: thank you!

Plants have chloroplast because they are autotrophs and make their own food using photosynthesis whereas animals are heterotrophs and they take tgr food made by plants.
