Due To Chlorophyll Present In Them.

Chlorophyll gives plants their green color because it does not absorb the green wavelengths of white light. That particular light wavelength is reflected from the plant, so it appears green.

Answer:

My name is Barshit Sahu and is answer is as follows:-

Explanation:

Plants look green because Sunlight(white light) contains different wavelengths of light and has seven main colours-VIBGYOR that we see in a rainbow. Most pigments absorb only certain colours and reflect the other wavelengths. The colours that we see are the ones that are reflected back i.e which are not absorbed. Chlorophyll a and b,two main pigments in plants, absorb mainly violet-blue and red light and reflect green light.Hence, green plants look green because the chlorophyll they contain reflects green light.
