plasma membrane is asymmetrical because, plasma membrane is made up of different compounds. it is selectively permable membrane which doesn't allow all materials to pass through it. plasma membrane is made up of phospolipids and lipids. They are composed with mono layers of lipids so cell membrane is asymmetrical.
