why plastic can not be decomposed

Hey there

We all know that microorganisms like bacteria help in the process of decomposition.
But they can't decompose plastics so easily unlike the bio wastes. It's because plastics are bonded chemically and it takes a long period of time to break it.

As we know the process of decomposition of materials is done by bacteria's .
The plastic cannot be decomposed by the bacteria's so easily because it is consist of chemical bonds which are stronger the the bonds in bio waste. That's why the decomposition process in plastics takes a very long time .
