why plastics does not rust like iron?

Because iron is a metal and metals like iron reacts with oxygen and water to form rust which is brown in colour and plastic does not react to it

one of the properties of plastic is 'plastic doesn't react with the chemicals or anything else'. Rust is formed because of moisture in air. as plastic do not react with it, it does not rust like iron
