Why platypus is called a Mammal

The platypus is usually considered to be a mammal because its features are like those of other mammals. For example, it has hair over most of its body and has mammary glands that make milk for its young lings.

Platypus is called a mammal because it has the same features like other mammals like:- 1) It has the hair over most of the body. 2) It has mammary glands which makes milk for its young. 3)it has also pretty good temperature controll so it can be warm-blooded.
