In the poem The Road not Taken, the poet chose the other road as the first road was travelled by many people as he said it was grassy and wanted wear.He doubted whether which road to choose for he will come back or not. The poet chose the second road as it was travelled less by people. He was adventerous and wanted to explore the road so he chose the road which was less travelled by people.

Answer:

The poet took the other road because he thought that it was more challenging to travel on it as only a few had used (trodden on) it. The poet discovered, while travelling on the other road, that the second was almost equally used as the first one.
