Carbohydrates which yield a large number of monosaccharide units hydrolysis are called polysaccharides. Some common examples are Starch, Cellulose, Glycogen, Gums, etc.  

Polysaccharides are long chains of sugars but since they are not sweet in taste, hence they are also called non-sugars.
