Why positive gram bacteria have more mesosome than negative?

The lipids in Gram Positive Bacteria are limited to the cytoplasmic membrane and the mesosomes where as Gram Negative bacteria and mycobacteria, the lipids are interwoven in the external layers of cells, and there is no clear distinction between membrane and cell wall lipids.
