Why potential is nessery in circuit. If i decrease the current flow in circut by resistance is there will be ani problem. In trancformer there we can encrease and decrease potiential.

You have to need the potentiometer because it is safe to use.In the case of resistors it will be unsafe,so I preferred the potentiometer is the best.No it is not in a transformer, you have to use a breadboard.
