why pottassium is more reactant than sodium

Sodium and potassium belongs to same group . Both has 1 electron to donate but sodium is less reactive because nuclear attraction makes it little bit difficult to loose electron as compared to potassium in which nuclear attraction becomes unable to pull the electrons towards itself . Hence we easily remove electron moreover due to screening effect also takes place .
so potassium is more reactant than sodium

In potassium, the outermost electron is better shielded from the attractive force of the nucleus. It follows, therefore, that this outermost electron is more easily lost than it is in sodium, sopotassium can be converted to ionic form more readily than sodium. Hence, potassium is more reactive than sodium...
