why pressure cooker cooks rice faster​

It is because it releases steam from the water by boiling it.

This steam remains in the pressure cooker for a time until it reaches to the maximum level of pressure.

This steam or water vapour is absorbed by the rice in the pressure cooker as pressure in it increases by osmosis.

This makes the rice cook faster.
