why pressure cooker reduces the cooking time?

because it is closed while cooking and retains moisture which reduces the time of cooking

It is closed and when we heat it ,all the heat and steam is locked in the cooker.
This heat increases and cooks the food very fastly.
So , pressure cooker reduces the cooking time.
