Why pressure on ground is more while walking than standing

Pressure is given by the expression P = F/A. When a man walks, he puts one foot on the ground at a time. The surface area of one foot is less, therefore, pressure is more, than while standing as surface area of both feet on the ground is more and hence pressure is less.
