why principle quantum number is always grater than azimuthal quantum number ?

Hey MATE!
The value of principal quantum numbers start from 1 and go further . And that of azimuthal quantum number start go from (n-1) to (n+1).
So it we get one possible value of azimuthal quantum number (n+1) which is greater than principal quantum numbers.
