Why proteins are called biological polymers

Proteins are formed with the joining of amino acids. They formed with the help of peptide bond. They are biological polymers because of their importance. They are much more essential for our body. They act like an enzyme which catalyze biological reaction. Proteins in the form of collagen and elastin , gives us mechanical support.
