why pulmonary artery is called an artery if it doesn't carry oxygen rich blood¿?​

because it carries blood from heart to the lungs which is only the characteristic of an artery.

Here is your answer,

It is called artory because it only carry oxygenated blood and one carry deoxygenated blood. It carry blood from heart ❤️ to others parts of the body.If it doesn't carry blood then the body did not work it is like live death hands legs body don't movement.
