Pulses are leguminious plants which contain nitrogen fixing bacteria likeRHIZOBIUM which convert atmospheric nitrogen into ammonia . This ammonia is being used by plant in the form of protein.pulses are alternated with other crop to full fill the demand of protein of other plant.

Answer:

This is because pulses are known to be the nitrogen-fixing plants that add nitrogen back into the soil that was lost due to the plantation of cereal crops. Therefore altering these two crops enables the soil fertility.

Pulses are leguminous plants that hold nitrogen-fixing bacteria in the root nodules, which are known to convert nitrogen into ammonia, which is used by plants.
