Q1:Why pure iron is not used in making permanent magnets.
A1:Pure iron is not used for making permanent magnets because (1) soft iron has low retentivity but due to small value of coercitivity it is not suitable for making permanent magnets. (2) Alnico is used for making magnets. (3) Electromagnets are made by coiling a conductor around a magnetic material which have very high retentivity which enable them to retain magnetism long after the magnetizing is removed.

Q2:name materials used for making permanent magnets
A2:
Usually ferromagnetic or ferrimagnetic materials are used for making permanent magnets these materials includes iron, nickel, cobalt and some rare earth metals.

Q3:
Describe how permanent magnets are made electrically?
A3:
Permanent magnets are made electrically by passing electric current through them

Q4:S
tate two example of electrical appliance which use permanent magnet.
A4:
Home Audio Speakers , Vacuum cleaner, Refrigerator, Debit and Credit Cards .
