  • Pure water does not conduct electricity because it's ionisation capacity is very low
  • As it doesn't contain any ionic compound (like acids,basis,salts) dissolved in it
  • And also it is a weak electrolyte and doesn't dissociate into ions therefore it doesn't conduct electricity
