why pure water doesvl not conduct electricity? why is acid or salt added to water during electrolysis?

bcz acids and salt produce H+ ions which produce electricity....

pure water doesn't conduct electricity because it is nuteral. No acids, no bases and no salts are present in pure water, that's why pure salt does not conduct electricity.
Acid or salt are added to water during electolysis to make water conductor of electricity.
