why q and w are state functions in isochoric and Isobaric process respectively?

Explanation:

in isochoric

w=0

thus dq=du

and du is a state function thus q is a state function in isochoric process

in isobaric

dw=pdv

w=integral p dv

as pressure is const p comes out of the integral

thus w=P (V2-V1)

As it varies on final and initial volumes it may look like a state function but no w is always a path function in isobaric process referring to pv graph there is only one path possible...W is a path function Always
