QUIT INDIA MOVEMENT :

Quit India movement was the third major movement launched by Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. He launched this movement on August 8 , 1942. This movement was started after the failure of Cripps Mission.


In this movement Gandhi along with his followers marched on the streets and demanded the British to Quit India. Gandhiji rose his famous quote Do or Die in this movement. So, this movement called as August revolution as it was started in August before 5 years of Independence.
