Mitochondria, lysosomes and other organelles are absent in RBC's to increase their haemoglobin carrying capacity. RBC's tend to carry more haemoglobin in them. For this they lose other organelles to make some more space for haemoglobin.

Answer:

alright so RBC'S do lack mitochondria and lysosomes I know the reason behind why they lack mitochondria but I'm not sure about lysosomes

Explanation:

okay so basically what do RBC'S do they mainly help in transport of oxygen right. so now if they had mitochondria they would actually use up the oxygen for themselves hence not delivering 100% of the oxygen and using some of it for themselves so hence to eliminate this and transport the entire amount of oxygen they lack mitochondria.

also the most important thing Mammalian RBC's are the one who lack mitochondria and lysosome and nucleus and endoplasmic reticulum.

let us know if you want an explanation on why they lack endoplasmic reticulum and nucleus
