Why r the plants like pinus and deodar called gymnosperms?

Plants like Linus and deodars are called gymnosperms because they bare naked seeds. Because they bear naked seeds.their seeds also grow either on the surface of scales or leaves.

They are called gymnosperms because of the following reasons:

•differntiated body parts.

•unisexual cones instead of flowers, both are present on the same plant.

•the plant bear naked seeds and or usually ever green and woody without flowers and fruits.

•xylem lack vessels and phloem lack companion cells.
