The southern slopes in the Himalayan region are covered with thick vegetation as compared to the Northern slopes.

This is because the southern slopes receive more sunlight and rainfall than the northern slopes. Also the temperature conditions are favourable in the southern slopes as compared to the northern slopes. For every thousand metres of ascent the temperature drops by 6 degree celsius.

                                         Hope it helps...................

Subhikshamurari: thanx for marking my ans as brainliest.
