The rainbow is actually made up of millions of colours . All of them have different wavelengths .
Our human eyes can not process many of those colours because their wavelengths make them invisible to our eyes .
These seven colours Violet , Indigo, Blue , Green , Yellow , Orange and Red are the most prominent distinctly visible colours that are visible to the human eyes .
The other colours nearly look like these 7 colours to our human eyes .
So we think that rainbow is made up of 7 fixed colours .
