Rainbow is actually a white colour but it is spilt into seven colours, and so its in Vibgyor.

A rainbow has seven colors because water droplets in the atmosphere break sunlight into seven colors.When light leaves one medium and enters another, the light changes its propagation direction and bends. Ordinary white light like sunlight is made up of many different colours......
