Explanation:

rainbow is a natural spectrum.

it is formed after a rainshower in the direction opposite to that of the sun.

tiny water droplets act like small prism and disperse white light into its component colours.

taking the case of a water droplet, first a ray of light enters the water drolet and refracts.

then disperse into the 7 colours

then, it undergoes internal reflection and again refraction. thus, a rainbow is formed.

sequence of events --

1. refraction

2. dispersion

3. internal reflection

4.refraction
