because rainwater harvesting is one of the simplest and oldest method of self supply water for house holds usually financial by the users we also know that rainwater is the accumulation storage of rainwater for reuse on site rather than allowing to run off rainwater can be collected from river or be collected to a dip pit(well,shaft or borehole)

*in India every year a huge amount of water is getting polluted .
*in India there are some states where we can't get water through ground water because land is very stony in that areas.

*in some states there is no source for irrigation. so that is why it is important of rainwater harvesting.,because farmers are dependent on rainwater

*it is also needed for maintaining the ground water level.


*for making the persistence of water on earth.
