Particles of matter move from a region of higher concentration region to a lower concentration region till uniform distribution is attained. Rate of diffusion in gases is high because they have large intermolecular space and they posses more kinetic energy than liquids and gases.

Hey mate!!

Here's ur answer:-

Rate of diffusion is faster in gases because of the following reasons:

• Intermolecular attraction is very low in gases. Therefore, they can move in random manner in the available space.

• Compared to the bonding force, the kinetic energy of molecules is quite high

• They quickly get diffused into the environment.

Hope it helps
