Why RBC's don't have nucleus ?

red blood cells do not have nucleus so that they  can take more oxygen. if nucleus is there, it will occupy the space .

RBCs have lost their nuclei in mammals, which are warm blooded and have a high metabolism ( more oxygen needed).

I think the most important reason why red blood cells don't have nuclei or organelles is efficiency. Not only to make room for hemoglobin, but to not consume the oxygen they are supposed to be carrying to the tissues.
