may be because liquids react faster but a solid that is iron will take time to react...

Anjali1110: i must say may be
riyadnb1p4dz1x: np

acid and base reaction is a chemical reaction so it's faster while rusting of iron nail is a physical reaction

smit03: i must say its that only
riyadnb1p4dz1x: but rusting of iron is also a chemical change...it is oxidation reaction
smit03: but it will react on its outer side so...
riyadnb1p4dz1x: The rusting of iron is a chemical change because it is two substances reacting together to make a new substance. When iron rusts, iron molecules react with oxygen molecules to make a compound called iron oxide. Rusting would only be a physical change if iron molecules remained pure iron throughout the process.
riyadnb1p4dz1x: hope u got it
smit03: hmmm
rishantsoni: No.. Sorry it is chemical change... As the chemical behavior also changes..
smit03: ok
