rectangular glass slab do not produce spectrum because refraction does not takes place

Answer:

Explanation: because  there is no deviation take place when light pass through glass slab  .but when light pass through prism it offers various refractive index due to deviation of light. in glass slab no deviation then no various refractive index so light does not split.

n=c/v  v∝lambda  deviation angle ∝n

deviation angle∝1/wavelength(lambda)
