Why redgrains are called as long term crops?

The long-term crop are those crop that has a life term greater than five years. It possesses the capabilities of cash flow and in turn allow the farmer to plan for long term. In long-term and medium term crops there is a gestation period or waiting period for the output. Hence it allows farmer for planning for further activities in the farm.

Red grains possess these abilities... Therefore they are called as long term crops...

Any crop that has life term of greater than 5 Years or 5 years  is considered Long Term Crops. For example as in Mango, Coconut, Teak etc are long term crop. Redgrains are referred as long term crop because they have a life expectancy of more than five years. Long Term Crops provides with cash flow capabilities that will allow the farmer to plan for long term times.
