why regeneration is not possible in complex organisms like human beings

This is because Complex tissues can't be formed out of Simple Tissues.
eg: Planaria's body is made up of simple tissues. So , it can regenerate through regenerative cells. Even our skin has regenerative cells but skin tissues cannot form complex tissues like muscular tissue!

Regeneration can mostly occur only in organisms with simple cell structures like planaria. Organisms with more complex cell structures cannot regenerate because each cell has a different function and has different tissue structures, like in human beings. So they can regenerate to form an entire human being as they don't have the information in the cells to regenerate.
