Why removal of hydrogen called oxidation..Why not any other element? Why only hydrogen?​

Explanation:

Oxidation means addition of oxygen and removal hydrogen therefore it is called oxidation.

why it does not happens with any other element because hydrogen bond is weak and hydrogen is less reactive.
