Why renal portal system is absent in mammals?

Due to the four chambered heart in mammals there is total separation of oxygenated and deoxygenated blood. Posterior portion of the body gets oxygenated blood from the heart and after oxidative process's, etc. the blood does not get so much impurities that it should go to the kidneys first for filtration as happens in fishes and amphibians.
