The main motive behind making reserve constituencies is for the economically backward and weaker sections of society so that they have a fair chance for taking part in elections and winning them as well.
If they are not given an equal opportunity then a significant part of society would be left unheard and the democracy would be left out as less democratic.
Thus, reserved constituency is a way of reserving some seats in the parliament as a chance of fair representation.
