because in respiration we liberate 38ATP that is a form of energy so it is exothermic reaction.
whereas ,for photosynthesis we need a source to process reaction that is sunlight so it gets energy in the form of light so it is known as endothermic reaction.

bcz in respiration heat is absorbed thats why respiration is considered an exothermic reaction.
