Why restriction endonucleases is mainly awsociated with prokaryotic cell like bacteria?

It is present in a prokaryotic cell like bacteria and helps in defense mechanism to restrict the growth of bacteriophages(that's why calledrestriction and restricted toprokaryotes only)by cutting the viral DNA(that's why called endonucleases) However, eukaryotes have other mechanisms to control the entry of viruses.
