The rights guaranteed called fundamental rights because of following reasons.

  1. They are guaranteed by the constitution , which is fundamental law of the land.
  2. They are most essential for the all round development of the individuals.
  3. It protects the freedom of an individual.
  4. It is the first condition of democracy.
  5. It helps us to protect our rights.
  6. One can directly approach to the supreme Court for the violation of above rights, which itself is a fundamental right.
